Application Overview:

SIT Digital International Inc. has developed Fiber Utility Management System (Fiber UMS), a Cloud-based Engineering application for Network Owners specifically designed for the purpose of Fiber network planning, design, as-built, operations support and inventory management. Which incorporates ESRI Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro Technologies.

Fiber UMS can be opened in any browser window. Simply login and work on your assignments. The one window tool let users do all sorts of assignments ranging from planning, designing, as-built update, analyze the network and many more. All these privileges are also configurable, meaning, you can assign and limit a user to do certain type of assignments. Users can see their assets on map but also in the form of tables. Finding any asset on map becomes very easy and with a single click user can see all the information related to that asset.

Backup & Security

Fiber UMS is connected to a single Enterprise Geodatabase hosted on Postgre SQL Server. Having all the assets in one Database makes it very secure and easy to fetch on demand. The system generates backup of this database regularly so that assets are saved from any potential disasters. Fiber UMS has variety of basemaps for user convenience. These Realtime updated basemaps become very handy to locate the existing network or while designing the new network.

OSP Module

Designing a fiber network has never been so easy before. The simple and easy to use Fiber UMS enable users to simply select any model from a pre-defined / configurable list and click on the map to place it. After placing the asset, a long pre-defined / configurable list of metadata appears. Where designer can enter the related information of that asset such as its unique name in the inventory or its available ports etc. The existing assets can also be modified with same method.

The OSP Module of Fiber UMS also enables users to automate the design process. First, a high-level design of the area of interest is generated, upon which the low level / detailed design is generated. The state of the art auto designing tool saves a lot of time.

ISP Module

The OSP Assets carry numerous Inside plant equipment. Ranging from splitters, routers, racks, floors, rooms, and many more. To keep record of these items, the ISP Module of Fiber UMS offers a graphical interface where users can easily add this information in a convenient form. The Floor plans and Rack layout views are automatically generated accordingly. Designers can simply select any asset and open its ISP. If designer has made selection on the map then there is possibility that many assets get selected including span, equipment, structure etc. That is why individual buttons are there to help navigate designer to desired inside plant.

OSP/ISP Survey Module

Time, Accuracy, Resources and many other factors have made paper-based survey useless. However, many companies now conduct paper-less surveys using mobile and handheld devices, but the real problems still remain. Companies may have adopted to new technologies, but real savior here is the integration of data. Fiber UMS is seamlessly connected with the survey app. Which means that designer in the office and surveyors in the fields are working together at any given time with easy-to-use controls

Data Filter

Fiber UMS lets users filter the data on the map. A specific workorder can be selected and all of the data concerned with that workorder shall come on the map right away.

Connectivity Module

Connectivity module is use for adding information of single fiber connectivity or multiple fiber to fiber connectivity which enhance understanding on network on screen and duct association with fiber. With one click and easy to use graphic interface.

Reporting Module

All the reports and maps required to get approval from governing authorities can be printed in PDF using Reporting & Printing module. This include High Level Drawings, Low Level Civil and Fiber Drawings, Single Line Drawings/Schematics of network, Duct Space Reports and Bill of Materials used in network. Customers have option to ask for their pre-defined reporting structure.
